Never a dull moment
Those of you who read Oliquig's blog know, we are having not one, but two parties this weekend. I think we must be nuts, but hey it'll be fun! The good thing is that the people who are coming are those that like to see US, not how clean the place is. Don't get me wrong, our place is far from slobbish, but these past few weeks have been hectic on both of us, so perhaps the place isn't as picked up as it should be. Now if this was my mother coming over, I would SO be in a tizzy, that woman can still make me nervous even at my age! I love her though. What makes it harder for me to do anything is the fact that I have a cold, and I threw my back out. So I cough, then wince at the pain in my back. I also work all day on my feet, so you get the idea that perhaps this is not the best time to do strenuous cleaning. Oliquig, ever the best roommate, will again have to do more of the pick-up than I, she did that too for Christmas, and now for this. I will make it up to her some other time, she knows this. We work very well as roommates, and Princess is just crazy about her. Princess has been sick for weeks now, FINALLY she was put on antibiotics and it's like night and day she feel so much better now!! She would cough so hard she almost threw up a few times, and the other day she coughed so hard she had an accident in her pants. We all know that when you cough that hard accidents can happen even to us grownups, but to a little girl who is so proud she is 4 and a "big girl now" it was devastating. Lots of hugs and kisses were given with the words "Honey don't worry, that's why they call them accidents because they aren't on purposes, I love you with all my heart". I wanted to hold her close and never let her go I felt so bad for her. It's nice to see her get back to normal. Another good note...The piece of crap car is STILL running yay!!!!! It looks like I'll make it to the end of January woo hoo!!! I hope everyone's New Year is good, the next year looms close, I can't WAIT to see what's in store!!!
